Tracy Stoddard
I am originally from the New York, New Jersey area. After graduating from high school, I knew I didn’t want to go to collage, or stay in the same area. I chose to join the Coast Guard, not only to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, but also decide where I wanted to be when I grew up. During my time in the military, I realized many different things about myself, one being, “I don’t want to grow up”, and the second, “It really is true that ‘home is where the heart is’”.
Becoming a massage therapist has been a journey for me, which started out with Personal Training, focusing on nutrition and overall wellness. I then migrated to the Massage profession just before I retired from the military. I graduated from Advanced Fuller School of Massage in Virginia Beach, VA in 2003, and became licensed the following January.
After graduation I opened a practice focusing on sports, and injury work in a small town in Eastern North Carolina, but through many life events, and changes, I have found myself in the Raleigh area, loving the diverse nature the area has to offer. I have also found that my work has changed over the eight years of my massage career. I now focus on Structural Integration and Cranial Sacral work, still working with many athletes, and those with different types of injuries. For me bodywork is a way of unraveling the physical form to seek the best balance that a person can find within their bodies.
My philosophy for my life and my work is that it is ever evolving with what gifts are presented to me through the journey we call life. I am very excited to being a part of the Body Elemental team, contributing my skills and personality to an already incredible talented group of Therapists.
